One of the most exciting parts about fall is that its the right time to start stocking up your wardrobe with jumpers and scarves and dig out those outwear items in coats and jackets that you have been longing to wear all summer. But what makes this so exciting for me, is that Im learning just as much as you are from this post, as I myself has been on the hunt for a new coat that largely differs from my existing collection in both style, type and colour.
I’ll also like to pass a shout out to my friend who hit me up on putting out an extensive and affordable posts that is accessible for all my readers. Now lets get stuck in and identify my favourite type of coats and jackets for the season and my favourite pieces from each type.
Overcoat
The Overcoat has got to be my personal favourite and always will be due to its sophistication and just how smart yet relaxed it is. For those of you caught up in the 9-5 city lifestyle like me most definitely need to invest in one.
The great thing about the modern day overcoat is that it has very much evolved from the stocky and wooly figure it was previously known for, which limited its versatility and comfort, compared to these days. The new version of the overcoat is now cut much closer to the body and implements different materials making them suitable to wear over your work suit and as a single layered garment during the weekend, giving you similar comfort to that of your hoodies.
