“Fur the early spring” focuses on blending winter norms and with that of spring. We all know that black is the preferred colour during the winter and it’s usually what most people opt for in the season. However, spring is fast approaching and we still tend to get the ice-cold days that winter gives, just with a bit of sunlight.
With me, I adapt quickly to the approaching season without neglecting the current one and one of the favourite things about spring is the colours, patterns and textures which was a key inspiration to my upper body colour choices.
To simply match the two seasons together, I opted for the monochrome outer layering and keeping the colours, patterns to the inner wear. I knew that my coat had to be simple but match the dynamic effect the inner wear added to the outfit, in order to avoid undervaluing my intentions to standout. This was the true reason behind the fur-collared coat, it adds a strong feel of sophistication in a subtle way, making the outfit a stand out one and just that, nothing over the top.
