Creating A New Timeless Wardrobe

I’ve shuffled different types of wardrobes over the years and always struggled at being satisfied with the amount of clothes I own. By this, I mean being comfortable with my wardrobe regardless of any occasion or event I need to attend. I’ve intentionally used the word “satisfaction” as being a man in love with his style, I will always want something new to add to my wardrobe; be it a new blazer or a new pair of shoes.

Nevertheless, it is immensely essential when creating a new timeless wardrobe to begin with simple yet elegant clothing which allow you to revamp and evolve your wardrobe style with a few clothing additions each season. I’ve personally had those years were I see a green blazer with patterns for example, at a premium price(about £300 or more) in which I had not single pair of and I go for the kill with my budget of just £700 or so. That’s a perfect example of having no understanding of how to build your wardrobe as I will only be able to wear such very few times due to its distinct image and lack of versatility. Such can’t really be mixed and matched.

The build of your wardrobe should begin with a good collection of classic and simple clothes in different colours. The only kick needed can be clothes of different materials and simple patterns, giving you that ability to mix and match and allow for style coherence as well as flexibility with your clothing. This gives you more options with less amount of clothes and allows you to wear a certain clothing item in different ways and with different clothes.

I also suggest you begin shopping with the price point you are most comfortable with before branching into a higher one to get a few additions for your wardrobe. But with all things be cautious of quality, it’s very important when considering how long you would like your clothes to last for and how often you want to wear them.
