Sunglasses are a great style accessory and a staple item for any style conscious man. Now that the spring is approaching, sunglasses should be considered a necessity to complete any outfit. They are the perfect multipurpose accessory that protects you’re eyes from the sun but also can deliver that iconic style. However, although there are so many variations of sunglasses, a large proportion of men still fail to get the right match for their face shape or style trends; this has adverse affects as they can draw too much attention if they are not paired correctly.
I’ve teamed up with Farfetch in a competition to give you a quick guide to the types of sunglasses that best suit your face shape, and I’ll cap it off with a styled outfit that includes my favourite pair of sunglasses.
Most faces are an oval shape, to some extent, in many cases, this typical face shape is characterised by elevated cheek bones and a slim, slightly rounded jawline. If you fall in this category, thicker framed sunglasses are best for you as they add a strong level of definition to your face; you should avoid thinly framed sunglasses as they can often get over powered. For those with a more rounded face shape, typically characterised with similar face width and length, is widest at its cheeks; you should opt for wide frames to compliment your features and avoid oversized frames. Lastly, if you fall into the more squared shaped face type, like i do, you will know your jawline is a very strong feature to your face type. I always suggest rounded or upswept frames to highlight your features and run avoid aviator shades when possible.
