Sporting the Unstructured blazer

The unstructured blazer has become one of my favourite items in a man’s wardrobe for many reasons and I believe these reasons are what should make it a wardrobe staple. The unstructured blazer can be bought off the rack without the fear of fitting issues which is obvious from its name. It is also a very relaxed and comfortable jacket to sport, making it perfect for the off-duty occasions.

But what I love most about this jacket is its flexibility, as it is still a blazer, you can pair it with everything you would with a formal blazer, but then you can dress it down all the way to slacked tees and smart joggers.

What gets more flexible and versatile than that? Formal Blazer vs Unstructured Blazer

What differentiates the unstructured from the formal is it has a less constructed tailoring as well as its padding and lining, giving it a more comfortable feel at your shoulder, torso and back area with a natural drape at the shoulder line. In terms of its design, it also usually finished with patch pockets, giving you more space and control of what you put in these pockets without upsetting the blazer fit. They are also usually made with looser and softer materials which allow for layering.
